The setup in the primary school begins in the Early Years Foundation from nursery to kindergarten.

The learning is based on:

• Communication, language and literacy
• Knowledge and understanding of the world
• Physical development
• Creative development

An emphasis will be placed on learning phonetics as a lead-up to reading. Young children will learn through play, music and arts in the rich and stimulating Berkeley environment.
